Currently Loving: Acrylic Homeware

I'm seriously loving acrylic (also known as perspex and lucite) furniture and homewares at the moment. I think I am drawn to it for its simple quality, it makes a statement without shouting, and adds a modern touch to interiors. Acrylic can also be so chic yet playful at the same time.

Here's a round-up of some of my favourites.....

Can you spot the Acrylic console in Jennifer Vaughn Millers home? I love how it's almost invisible allowing the items displayed on top to shine!
This 'Treasure Box' by Alexandra Von Furstenberg is perfect for displaying all kinds of trinkets and collected items.

How smart is this acrylic desk set by Kate Spade?
The 'Ghost Chair' by Phillippe Starck is a design classic and works in modern, traditional and eclectic interiors. Image via Pinterest
Can we just talk about the above image for a minute?! That gallery wall, the industrial light fitting, the rustic wooden table, the amazing rug and of course those chairs, this, for me, is eclecticism at its best and such a great use of textures and contrasting styles to add colour, depth and interest.

This bar cart via Lonny is the perfect way to display your favourite tipple and barware without it looking too much!
If you don't want to go all out with acrylic then you could always add a touch with some drawer pulls. Image via pinterest
I will definitely be buying some acrylic photo blocks for my dining room makeover, I'll be mixing them in with some mirrored glass frames for a more glamorous feel. I really like the idea of displaying postcards, tickets and mementos in the blocks as well as photos and as you probably know by now, I do love a bargain so I've found some very budget friendly blocks starting from just £3.14!

Would you incorporate acrylic in your home?
